Not a boba chain with Thai tea somewhere on the board. Thai tea is the point of the place: black, milk, black sesame, oat, soy, slushed, and served under buttered toast. On Shattuck since 2024.

Cha Thai Tea opened on Shattuck Avenue in April 2024, in the space that used to be Fertile Grounds, with about a thousand square feet and room to sit. The brief from the start was Thai teas plus snacks: sandwiches and traditional Thai desserts alongside the drinks.
That focus is what the menu is built around. Thai black tea and Thai milk tea come first, then the variations — black sesame, oat and soy for anyone who skips dairy, fruit teas, slushes, and the Pang Cha, a Thai tea slush served under buttered sweet toast. The dessert side is Thai too: pandan custard toast, mango and sticky rice.
